My answer to this question is 44.
Because it works 2 times every hour. But it works only one time at 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock. So it works (12 \times 2)-2=22 times in 12 hours. That means it works 22 \times 2 = 44 times in a day.

But it shows wrong…

I solved it in another way, which should not be valid I realized now.
